Physical
description:
Nimble and athletic at 5'11",
175 lbs, Delorean is the figure of peak
condition. Golden hair falls wild like a
tawny mane around an angular and
expressive face, the most striking feature
of which are his azure blue eyes, which
seem unable to hide the deepest feelings
of his soul. When he is holding back
positive chi prior to release flashes can
be seen in their depths that are
reminiscent of lightning crashing against
ocean waves. Del always seems to be
completely relaxed, even in the midst of
battle, but his eyes can give away his
true thoughts and emotions. He favors
comfortable clothing that allows for
freedom of movement, but has also taken to
wearing jeans and borrowing his lover D's
sweaters. He goes barefoot whenever he has
the chance, but if weather forces him to
don footwear he prefers flexible
soft-soled boots. His nunchuckas are
almost always at his belt, and his
naginata is never far away.

Personality:
Delorean's entire mindset is
based upon a balance of chi, and a balance
of life. Despite being a deadly hand-to
hand fighter, Delorean loves peace and
never attacks first. His life is dedicated
to protecting the weak and innocent. He is
humble above all, considering it a great
sin to boast of his abilities in any way.
Considering himself a servant to others,
he will gladly sacrifice for another. His
life as a monk also makes him unable to
ask anything of another person, although
he will never refuse a gift or an offer of
help. He often finds himself in difficulty
because of his inability to tell a lie,
his open and honest nature simply unable
to hide the truth. He adores children and
is a very capable babysitter, although his
homosexual lifestyle has caused some
friction with a few of the parents.
Delorean is rather innocent about social
standards, coming from a world where
modesty was much less attended to. He
enjoys life to it's fullest and takes
immense pleasure in the simple things,
such as discovering pizza.

Element:
Wind-Fire
Abilities:
Delorean has focused a great
deal of his life upon becoming a
chi-master, and his long lifespan has
allowed him to go beyond human capability
in the art. He is a supreme martial
artist, quite deadly with or without
weapons, his dragon-punch being enough to
crush an ordinary man's chest in one blow.
His control of chi enhanced by his phoenix
blood has made it possible for him to
ignite virtually any non-living material,
even melting stone. His weapons of choice
are nunchuckas and his ancient naginata,
which unlike our single fixed-bladed ones,
is a dual spring-bladed pole weapon. In
defensive mode he is virtually impossible
to hit, able to read the movements of
those around him through chi-sight while
they are but intent. Since his
transformation to phoenix he has gained
new powers, including telepathy, shifting,
and healing, but it will be some time
before he is skilled enough to trust them.
He has a decent knowledge of herbalism and
an excellent knowledge of poisons, as well
as exhaustively trained skill in
accupressure and massage. His skill in the
bedroom is legendary, pleasure being the
highest service one of his order can give
to another. He plays a flute from his
homeworld, the melodies bearing an odd
eastern air to them. He is an excellent
cook, specializing in the spicy desert
fare of his homeworld.
Items:
Naginata (+5), nunchuckas (+1),
biting vipers (poisoned throwing stars),
dragon spikes (poisoned throwing spikes),
meditation stones, several books of poetry
and journals, books on meditation he is
rewriting, and always firecrackers, finger
puzzles, and interesting stones and leaves
and other objects of nature.

 Delorean
was born to an ancient high elf who had wandered
many worlds but had fallen in love with the world
of Faradi with its passionate human inhabitants.
With her incredibly long lifespan, she became known
as the Wise Woman of Faradain, the desert land in
which she had settled, and over her lifetime she
had married several human men, bearing 13
half-elven children. Delorean, the youngest of
them, was born to the second son of the Sultan at
that time, but his mother died in childbirth and he
never knew her. Raised by his adoring father in his
early childhood, Delorean enjoyed all the benefits
of his royal bloodline, until his uncle, the third
son of the Sultan, decided to take the throne for
himself, assassinating all who could lay claim to
it. Delorean escaped with his older sister and was
hidden in a monastary, but no other members of his
father's family survived his uncle's vicious bid
for the throne.
The monks protected and trained the young boy,
revering him for both his royal bloodline and his
mother's memory. Delorean, however, adopted their
ways of life, preferring the simplicity and
humility of the monks to the cruel arrogance and
oppression his uncle displayed as the new Sultan.
By the time he was close to manhood, Delorean had
become the master monk, exceeding the skills of all
the human monks and named their leader. His uncle,
however, learned of his survival, and became
obsessed with killing him. Assigning his own
monk-assassins to the job, the Sitiani, led by the
master of death Sitian, he felt confident that
Delorean and his Greystone Order would soon be
wiped out. The Sitiani ruthlessly attacked and cut
down any Greystone they found, eventually
penetrating the Greystone monastaries themselves.
Fearful that he would lose all of his precious
brothers if they remained in one group, detectable
by their powerful chi to the Sitiani, Delorean sent
the few remaining monks away, all of them vowing to
spread the Order throughout Faradi and one day
return Delorean to the throne to rule in
justice.
One by one the Greystone were assassinated by
the dogged death monks, until only Delorean
remained. Confronted by Sitian himself, he battled
for his life on the edge of a cliff overlooking the
dangerous oceans. The two fell from the precipice,
plunging toward their deaths in the crashing waves
below, but Sitian cast a spell of transport and the
two survived, sucked into a strange world. Delorean
managed to defeat Sitian when he came to, the death
monk vanishing, but Delorean found himself trapped
in a land he did not know, a strange and mytical
continent named Ainran. Shaken but remembering his
vows, Delorean set off to continue his service and
fulfill the vows of his order in this new land.
After three years, he met a man named D'Tars
Helios, also an offworlder, one with chi that not
even Delorean could fathom. Delorean fell in love
with the passionate and strong D'Tars, while D'Tars
found himself equally drawn by the courageous and
self-sacrificing Delorean. When D'Tars departed for
the world of Eldridge, Delorean accompanied him,
the two joining into a soul-bond that went even
deeper than marriage, forever melded in soul.

 Delorean
is the character I play when I'm feeling most at
peace with myself. In spite of his great level of
self-control, Delorean is very feeling with a great
capacity for fun and love. I enjoy putting him
through cultural clashes and exploring through his
naivite for the things that we consider great
social law, but which to him are of little
consequence, such as why it is polite to wear
clothing in public.
